Honestly? I became a painter because I couldn't find one I trusted.

I was renting in inner Melbourne, needed a couple of rooms done, and called painter after painter. Some ghosted me. Some showed up once and vanished. Eventually I just did it myself — and somewhere between the prep and the second coat, I realised I actually loved it.

More than that, I realised painting isn't just about covering walls. It's about how a room feels. The right colour can make a bedroom calmer, a kitchen warmer, a hallway feel like it actually belongs to you. Paint sets the mood for how you live at home.

So I trained, built up my skills, and started Paint Excellent with one idea: be the tradie I always wished existed. Someone local. Someone who shows up. Someone who actually cares about the finish.
